DAY 7 – 29 March 2016 – Hongdae/ Underground shopping Malls/ Stylenanda
Good Morning from our guesthouse! >.<
We started our morning with coffee once again.😀😀😀 This time at a coffee place 2mins from our guest house called Coffeebe. Loved how the coffee place has such a homely feel. The barista is also a very nice lady. 😊😊😊
We were so sad that it is our second last day here already though.
We then head to the main hongdae area to do some last minute shopping as well as to fully explore the whole main hongdae area as well! The funny thing is how we realized that there was actually a more straight forward way to get to the main hongdae area from our guesthouse.
We then decided to Jjampong for lunch! It is something like spicy seafood noodles. We chose Mr Paik’s restaurant since most of their local university students seem to frequent that place.
This was it! It also came with some pickled radish. If my memory did not fail me, this gigantic bowl only cost about 5000won?!
*Could not find the address online*
However it somewhere located in the second/third lane after exiting from subway station exit 8 and walking straight down.
Next stop was to gangnam to meet Shihui’s cousin’s friend. 😂😂😂
We then headed to some underground shopping malls to purchase some last minute items we hesitated to get the other day. 😂😂😂
I kind of have a thing for this green patch on the floor in the subway.
This is one of the many 10000 won bag shops you can find all over the streets and underground shopping area.
After all the shopping, we headed back to Hongdae area to have dinner! We practically gave up following our itenary on what to have for dinner since we always had such a hard time finding the restaurant. We decided on Army Stew (Budae Jigae) since we were not able to have it the day other day.
We only ordered one pot of this and were glad we did not order more because it was just right for our appetites!
Overall we were pleased with the quantity and quality! Also, this pot only cost 24000 won without any additional add-ons. Also, somehow the spam in this pot tasted so so so good! Almost wanted to buy cans of these home.
*Once again no address*
Located in the main food street where most people do their busking. The shop looks very wood-ish so it is pretty easy to find!
After filling our stomachs, we tried to find our way to Stylenanda. However we got lost in between and had to ask the locals for help. It was hard as they could not understand our accent. They were nice enough to help out google using their map and let us take picture of the map. [We couldn’t use our phone’s map since our data ran out from getting lost too much.]
Super thankful though! 🙂
When we finally found the place. HALLELUJAH 😌😌😌
The gorgeous interior!
We also tried out the photo booth and somehow we don’t look as good as how we expected to be. 😑😑😑
We were craving for some deserts and this tiramisu ice cream that seems like a trend here.
We stood outside the store to eat this and created such a commotion there. 😂😂😂 Breaking the cup half way for no reason and then shivering because it was so cold with the wind blowing and then laughing so hard for all the reasons and also for no reasons at all! Though we may seem crazy but those are the funny and memorable moments I wouldn’t exchange anything for. 😂😂😂
We then bought some mini kimbaps to have with our soju back in our guest house. We had such a hard time figuring out how to explain takeaway to the auntie and we ordered, she immediately knew and packed it in a bag for us, making all our efforts thinking how to say it go to vain😂😂😂. Love ya auntie ❤
*Those carmex lip balms are the bomb!*
*Super moisturizing although i bought it thanks to the Produce 101 girls advertising them.😒😒😒😁😁😁*
That was all we did for day 7! Nothing special but full of memories!
